Summary:

Ponte Vineyard Inn currently seeks a Houseperson to join our valued Housekeeping team. You will ensure a clean and comfortable environment for all of our guests. The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, detail oriented and have a passion for giving guests an exceptional experience.

You will perform any combination of providing support and cleaning the facility to ensure that the property is presented with a quality that exceeds the guests expectations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Houseman (100%)

  • To ensure guest satisfaction and profitability is maximized at every opportunity.
  • To uphold professional standards of excellence and set an example to all other associates at all times.
  • Transport supplies including linen, room supplies and sundry items to supply locations.
  • Ensure that room attendants have all supplies needed throughout the day.
  • Remove dirty linen from linen closets.
  • Ensure all areas of the facility are clean including lobby, hallways, restrooms, conference rooms, restaurant, and grounds as requested.
  • Ensure that trash is removed from the facility and grounds.
  • Maintain cleanliness and inventory or storage areas reporting any deficiencies to departmental manager.
  • Assist to perform other housekeeping tasks as business demands require.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the hotel.
  • To be able to work well under pressure and to complete all assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To maintain a clean work environment and uphold all Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Always have higher expectations for service levels.
  • Be confident in taking the lead in any guest issues that may arise during your shift and communicate these to your Manager immediately.
  • Set the example of excellence in standards to other Associates at all times.
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out before the end of shift.
  • Assist fellow Associates with additional job duties as business dictates and is required.
  • Understands and adheres to the Ponte values and service standards.

 

 

Experience and Skills:

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years housekeeping experience.
  • Must be able to speak English

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Has attention to detail and the ability to follow direction and abide by standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to focus for an entire shift, trouble shooting and prioritizing skills.

Knowledge

  • Hospitality industry background and experience.
